Millstream-Chichester National Park - Fortescue River & Python Pool

We have seen masses of this particular wildflower whilst driving in the region. From the car it looks for all the world like drifts of snow laying beside the road.

The run-off from the Hamersley Ranges flows via the Fortescue River into an underground aquifer that feeds the waters of the Millstream-Chichester National Park.

The surrounding landscape is breathtaking although it is hard to catch on camera

A close up of the clumps of spinifex that cover the surrounding countryside, hills and mountains. Wildflowers are scattered here and there and the overall effect is beautiful.

A short walk along a creek bed bring you to Python Pool, one of the most scenic attractions in Millstream National Park
