Stuart Highway, South Australia

It is a long drive on the Stuart Highway from Coober Pedy to the Buchanan Highway where we started heading west but there is plenty of interest along the way. We always try to stop at different locations than previous trips. Here's a couple of images taken along the way.

We don't know the story behind this burnt out coach except it happened the day we were struggling with the mud, and there were no casualties except for the vehicle.

An usual sight, new wetlands beside the road thanks to recent rains

Reaching the Northern Territory border

A hooded robin who joined us for a picnic lunch stop at the NT/SA border

The road train we followed into Alice Springs
